Dong Thap Football Club (Vietnamese: Câu lạc bộ Bóng đá Đồng Tháp), simply known as Dong Thap, is a Vietnamese football club based in Cao Lãnh, Đồng Tháp Province. Following the club's most recent relegation from the top-flight during the 2016 season, Đồng Tháp returned to the V.League 2 for the 2017 campaign. The team is currently playing at Cao Lãnh Stadium.
History
Dissolution and return
Following the 2014 V.League 2 season, the club's corporate sponsor announced that they would no longer fund the club. Not having enough resources to fund the club for their promotion to the 2015 V.League 1 season, the local sporting council decided to dissolve the club. However, a deal with Hong Quang Work Construction & Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company helped save the club ahead of the 2015 season.
동 탭은 베트남 리그에서 5회, 베트남컵에서 2회 우승한 경력을 가지고 있다. 또한 AFC컵에서도 2019년에 준우승을 차지한 바 있다.
동 탭은 베트남 축구 국가대표팀의 주요 선수 공급원 중 하나이다. 현재 베트남 축구 국가대표팀에 소속된 선수 중 10명 이상이 동 탭에서 뛰고 있다.
동 탭은 베트남에서 가장 인기 있는 축구 클럽 중 하나이다. 홈 경기에는 항상 많은 관중이 모이며, 원정 경기에서도 많은 팬들이 동 탭을 응원하기 위해 따라간다.
동 탭은 베트남 축구의 대표적인 클럽으로, 베트남의 축구 발전에 큰 기여를 하고 있다.
